Why Taylor deal failed - Leeds are bigger.
In a week where Derby were seeking Jermaine Beckford, Forest failed to get Taylor.
Then began a period that some would have us believe where a myriad of other signing prospects were just waiting to sign or be studied by us. Dennis Wise this week proudly proclaimed to the Telegraph & Argus:
"I keep being asked about Derby but, sorry Derby, we are a bigger club."
The above can be described in many ways. You decide.
Of course this is going on from the same old story on Taylor but it doesn't stop it being annoying. In fact it wouldn't be annoying at all if there were not a Wedding list of players we failed to sign or show interest over the last three years or so.
So was it a Forest approach blunder that caused this failure, not enough money? Or did Taylor see Leeds as being bigger than Forest and perhaps a better future at Leeds? We will always be biased being Forest supporters but if we cannot entice such players in Leeds presence something is very and dangerously wrong.
Collin however and to his credit has always picked or tried to pick Quality. Hopefully something will spring out of the woodwork soon or a return to the paranoid and emptying terraces will return.
