Last night saw the Reds step up a gear and for the second time bang in 5 goals this season. The result left Forest joint top with Newcastle prior to them playing this evening of course.

Earnshaw was not allowed to claim a hat trick at the penalty spot and perhaps this was a wise decision? But it was enough that his brace saw Forest start a landslide in which Forest dismantled a QPR side already in deep trouble.

Looking at our statistics of late it most certainly looks as though we are staking a claim to return in the Top flight but there is no room for complacency, we've seen many clubs in such a position only to fail, indeed we have a few times before.

Whatever happens however it was a fantastic victory yet again and one which placed a great big fat grin on all who support Forest all over the globe.

There is no doubt that if we can keep just half of this up throughout the rest of this season we are sure to be counted when the time comes.

The Fat Lady turned up for dress rehearsal this morning. She's not that happy at the moment.
